CDC Health Topics A to Z
  • this site makes a large amount of medically related information available on diseases and health topics sponsored by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention
  • does not cover all diseases but primarily those with a public health overtone
  • available for downloading are high-quality pictures of many pathological specimens and complete slide presentations on may topics

CDC National Prevention Information Network
  • sponsored by the Centers for Disease and Prevention
  • site is a valuable health educational tool

CDC Wonder (Center for Disease Control)
  • covers subjects on mortality, natality, AIDS, STDs, fluoridation, Census
  • permits searching on data sets and reports
  • user must initially register to use site. Registration is free
  • data may be sent via e-mail or you can wait for it online

Cancer Mortality Maps & Graphs
  • includes county maps of cancer mortality by type of cancer, race and sex maps in gif format

Clinical Trials (NIH)
  • lists over 40,000 federal and private clinical trials to test medication provides details of medicine and recruitment information searchable by keyword, whether or not recruiting, and medical condition of patient

Child Health USA 2000 (HRSA)
