Applicants with at least three transferable credits taken at another accredited college or university (other than transferable credit obtained for Advanced Placement (AP) or College in High School courses taken while in high school) are considered "transfer students".

The successful applicant will demonstrate evidence of academic strength by meeting the following criteria:

  •  Applicants who have completed less than 30 college credits will be evaluated on their academic performance in high school (including SAT or ACT scores, minimum requirement of SAT 1080 or ACT 22) and college/university performance and submitted to the Admissions Office.
  • Applicants who have completed 30 or more college credits will be evaluated on their academic performance.
  • GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale
  • Grades of “B” or better in math and science courses.
  • Satisfactory completion of a chemistry course with a lab (high school or college) must be documented with an academic transcript.
  • Completion of Transfer College History Form

All transfer applicants must submit an application to RMU along with official transcripts to the Admissions Office from each institution previously attended.

Nursing courses with a clinical component taken at another school are not accepted for transfer credit.

All external transfer applicants will be reviewed on an individual basis by the Department of Nursing.
