Completion of Program: RN to BSN

  • The RN to BSN nursing program is a part-time program.

  • Students who are enrolled in the program will have a variety of core courses to complete.

  • The number of core courses that need to be taken by a student will affect the length of program completion and will vary dependent upon transfer credits accepted.

  • Once the core courses have been completed, students typically finish the BSN and BSN curriculum in 3 years, taking 2 courses each semester (Fall, Spring and Summer).

  • If a student is absent from the program for greater than one year, missing (4) semesters including summer, the student must apply for reinstatement. A written request for reinstatement must be made by the student and must be submitted to the program director at least three months prior to the planned return. The program director and/or advisor will work with the student to revise teh course map toward program completion.

  • The expected completion of the nursing program should be no longer than (5) years from the time the student first enrolls in a University course.
