Completion of Program Prelicensure

  • The pre-licensure undergraduate nursing program is a full time program.

  • The expected completion of the nursing program should be no longer than five years from the initial NURS course for students in the Traditional Track. The expected completion of the nursing program should be no longer than three years from the initial NURS course for students in the Second-degree Track. A student should express in writing to the program director, the intent or plan to be absent from the program prior to the actual absence. The specific planned return date should also be included in the notification.
  • If a student is absent from the program for greater than one year, the student must apply for reinstatement to the program.  A written request for reinstatement must be made by the student and must be submitted to the program director at least three months prior to the planned return.
